Career-related Website

The website that I used the most is the Biblioteca Digital of the Universidad de Chile, it is a digital library that provide with different kind  of “collections” such as, electronics book, magazines, art works, audiovisuals materials and other different things.

In there you also can reserve a printed book from the physical library and then go to the place to retire the text. But you must be a student from the university to access the website, require an exclusive account.

I visit this website every time that I must search for information for my presentations or reports of the university, such things like books, magazines, papers, etc.

I like this website because it has so much information, keep texts that you can read online, others that you can print and others that you can reserve and have it in yours hands, the last one I wish that I could do that in this pandemic, unfortunately I have to be content with the digital form.

Is very practical just search for a word or a quote or an author and the site give you information that you could use for your work.

Four-Legged Friend

Hello readers!
The topic I will talk to you about today will be about the pets I have had and how important they are to our lives.
Throughout my life I have had 3 female dogs, the first one was given to me when I was about 7 years old and her name was Almendra and she died in 2016. The second dog was a little puddle, called Isis, given to me by my grandmother and she still lives with us.
Almendra
Destiny

The last dog is the most special because she was "rescued" from the street, she was not really a street dog, but my neighbor always left her on the street, so I brought her to our house and gave her food and water, then she had to go back to my neighbor. Until finally I ended up keeping her and my neighbor never said anything about it.
Her name is Destiny because I feel that she came to brighten up the house after Almendra passed away, her energy and the fun things that make everyone happy, plus she always distrusts strangers and protects our home. The best companion the world could give me.

A Photograph You Like

Hello again readers!

Today I come to show you one of my favorite photographs that I store in my phone.

I took it in November 2019, we went as a family for a few days to the beach, it was special because we could go with my sister's daughters, they are the first granddaughters of the family so they are quite spoiled.

The photo shows my older niece, Isidora, I love this photo because it shows how happy she was when she saw the sea and how she enjoyed playing in the water.

I think that my niece, although sometimes a little tiresome, since she is still a baby, is one of the people I love most in this world. Being such an important person, I wanted to show a photograph of her.

My other niece is also a baby, she still hasn't learned to walk, I hope that by the next time we go to the beach she will be able to enjoy the sea as much as her sister.

My Favorite Piece Of Technology

Hi readers!

Today I am going to write about my favorite device. I would say that my favorite piece of technology is my cellphone, I'm not quite sure but I think I've had it since December 2018. I had to go to a university practice and the phone I had at the time was bad, so we decided to change it and the model I have now is a Huawei P Smart.

I chose this device, since it's something I use every day, I can spend hours on it doing different actions. Lately I use it a lot to read Japanese comics, as well as watching some anime series. Without leaving aside the social networks I use to have fun and communicate with friends and family.

I think life without a phone would be different, because you can access the same applications and other things through other devices, but it wouldn't be as compact and as easy to carry around as a phone. Also one of the main reasons why I bought a phone was to be able to communicate with my family through phone calls, because the university practice was very far and not all my relatives know how to use the applications well, for example my grandparents, the easiest thing is by phone call.

In conclusion everything I can do with the phone is replaceable, except for calls to my grandparents.

Why did I chose Forest Engineering?

This is the history how did I chose my career. When I was a child, my dream job was being a veterinarian, I think a lot of children had that dream too. I really like the animals, since little, my uncle had a farm, and my family and I use to go there in the summer vacations. He has sheep, horses, ducks, chickens and others farm animals.

When I applied to university my only option was forest engineering, my first university option was the University of Chile, and the second one was the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Fortunately, I got accepted in my first option.

In the last year of high school, I didn´t know what to study, I thought in study molecular biotechnology, but then I didn´t liked the idea of stay in a laboratory all the time (that was my idea of being a scientist). I was looking for a career where I did not have to be locked up all the time, so, one day my best friend introduced me to the career I study now.

In the university I had the pleasure of know my current friends. And live new experiences, like parties, practices and hang out with my friends. (Beside of learn about the nature and interesting thinks about the career). Here are some pictures of my friends and I:

The kind of job I would like to have when I graduated is something related to preserve the nature and biodiversity, but I don´t know specifically the job I would like.
